ARE WE A NATIONA STILL? IS MAHARASTRA IS A PART OF INDIA STILL?
The Constitution of India provide all its citizen to move freely from one place to another in search of jobs, business, employments etc and for settlement purpose throught India. But what is happening in Mumbai is giving every one doubt that wheather Mumbai including Maharastra is a part of India or not.The biggest irony is Congreess ,the same congress who is always vocal on the foreign identity of Sonia Gandhi is behaving so irresponsibly on the issue of bihari & UPietes people being treated like dogs in Mumbai & Maharastra.
Mumbai must not forget that these so called poor states provide raw materials to their state's factory which in turn made them rich state. Think If Nehru and other north indian netas would not have followed THE FREIGHT EQUALISATION POLICY then this state would not have such number of factories.Imagine if the bihari and UPiets neta would have choosen bihar & UP for factory laying purpose then these poor bihari and UP people wouldn't requied to be come to Mumbai or other part of Maharasta for job.
Again ,How much Raj Thakre himself is pure marathi.Does his children are getting education in any marathi medium school, how many movies Smita Thachkery has produced in marathi language. If Raj Thackarey want to give competition to bihari & UPwala then better they should train them in that vocation in which they want to lead. If he behave like this he is making other outstation marathi vulnerable to others. If they are saying that only marathis has first right in maharastra then what does he mean that outstation marathi should behave like second class citzen out of Maharastra? That marathi should not celebrate their festival out of maharastra in full swing?Questions are endless? Answers are also known to the politicians and intellectuals in India but still Maharastra Govt. is behaving like as we are living in pre-independent era.
If we handle recklessly serious issues like this then the damage to the country as a Nation will be beyond repair.

KEEPING AN EYE ON FUND FOR FLOOD RELEIF
Bihar is now very badly hit by flood caused by Kosi river.Every where people is moved by the news of victims of flood in north bihar.Every possible organisation like goverment departments, ngos ,business organisation, now film star like Salman Khan, NRI friends, media friends and different state governmants are donating for the cause of relief work for the needy people of bihar.
These are very moving moments as it's shows that we Indian still stand for each other in situation of crisis. We forget our differences and forward our helping hand .
But it is also the time when people also show their ugly faces like missusing the fund both in cash & kind provided for the victims. They try to corner the relief materials. So a strick control both on the part of general people and governmant agency is required so that this type of mischief activities can be checked.
A social audit should be conducted after some time so that a check measure can be excercised on the relief packages.Media should also try to keep an open eye on this type of story so that culprit can be booked under public scrutiny.

BETTER WAY TO PAY TRIBUTE TO RAJENDRA BABU
Bihar Govt. is planning to celebrate the 125 birth anniversary of Dr.Rajendra Prasad, the first president of India in a big way by building a bronze statue in his name at Patna Museum gallery, urgeing RBI to issue a special coin in his name,by renovating Rajendra Udyan at Bansh ghat near ganga river, by organising seminars & lectures in his honour etc.
But the best way would be to built a school & college in the name of Rajendra babu at his native place in Zeradei village in Siwan dist. of Bihar. It will help the villager to develop and understand his famous Rajendra babu in a better way.
It will be a real tribute to Dr Prasad who was so intelligent that when there was a news of his appearing in exam from Calcutta University a intelligent student who never secured second position in his life dropped his exam out of fear that he will never make first in front of Rajendra babu.Such was his reputation in respect of study that after him the college was named Presideny College in Kolkata after independence of India. It is said that in His answer paper the examiner has given the remark that "EXAMINEE IS BETTER THAN THE EXAMINER".Such was the aura of Dr.Rajendra Prasad.

ANOTHER FEATHER IN THE CAP OF BIHAR
FAMILY SCHOOL: To creat awareness about the women’s rights and to check the crime against and exploitation of the fairer sex theNitish government has planned to open Parivarik Vidyalaya (Family Schools) in the Bihar. Counselling sessions would be organized in the Family Counselling Centre at the panchayat level.
Vijay Prakash, welfare secretary said initially Anganwadi centres would work as counselling centres. In this respect a discussion was held in Patna recently. NGOs working for the women’s rights and officials of the Women Development Corporation attended it. It was hoped that the counselling sessions would help to solve the problem of the mistreatment of women from the source. Women Helpline is already working to sort out the problems related to women.
Let see how it is going to change the attitude of men & family in bihar towards its women and literacy rate of bihari, both men & women specially girl child.

BIHARI IN NEWS
Abducted and sold to at the young age to work at a construction site, 13-year-old Rakesh never thought he would one day represent India at an international event.
Rakesh doesn't want to remember the days when he was beaten up with belts and used to work for more than 18 hours a day at a construction site in Amritsar. He prefers to talk about his achievements instead."Those were the dark days. I shudder whenever I think about my past. Now I have something to look forward to in life," Rakesh, who now lives in Rajasthan but was in Delhi for a function".For the past two years, he has been a jury member of the World Children's Prize For the Rights of the Child presented in Sweden in April.
Rakesh, a resident of Ghana village in Saharsa district, about 200 km from Patna, was kidnapped and forced into child labour until rescued by Bachpan Bachao Andolan, an NGO working for child rights in Punjab's Amritsar district in 2006. The boy worked as a child labourer without any wages. After six years of hardship, he was rescued by the NGO. He was among 14 children who were similarly working as child labourers at construction sites in Punjab."I was not paid and there were days when I had nothing to eat. There was no shelter. I had to work from dawn to dusk," he said.According to the 2001 census, 12.6 million children work as child labourers in India. After he was rescued, Rakesh was sent back to his village in Bihar. But his troubles were far from over. He found that he could not fit in with his family as he had forgotten the native language."I had forgotten my native language so I couldn't interact with my parents. For days, I remained in seclusion," Rakesh said.Later, he went to a shelter home run by the NGO and began studying in a school in Rajasthan. It was in April 2007, when he participated in a rally organised by the NGO to protest against child labour, that he was noticed.
The NGO suggested his name for the child rights award jury and was chosen for the international panel for five years. The jury selects a child for his remarkable contribution to advocating children's rights and improving the situation of vulnerable children."Life would not have been worth living had I not been shown a ray of light by them," he said referring to the NGO.Kailash Satyarthi, who heads the NGO, is proud of these children who have made a name for themselves despite seeing much torture and exploitation."Children like him prove that if they are given a chance, they are no less than other well-off children. It's just an initiative we need to take."( source of the news : bihartimes.com)

MY BIHAR

Hi aach-bachch bhia-bahni sab, when I decided to form a "BIHAR SOCIETY" in kolkata it was a huge success .It became a talk of town among hindi journalists and intelectual, professors, teachers over there & I received lot of support from them also.We organised few seminars under its banner & cultural fuction, food festival ,eassay competition etc. But unfortunate I have to disassociate myself with it due to some family pressure & their lack of believe that bihar can be change. I feel, I also lacked the courage to fight back my family's believe that it can changed.Anyway it is history now.
It was 14 feb,1998 when we organised first fuction under the banner of BIHAR SOCIETY, almost a decade ago.I was almost a kid at that time full of hope and ideas, creativity and believe that I can change this world. But time has put me at some pause, but I am another stubbern female who love to challege the old believes of society .So this time I am armed with my blog to bring some changes in our society i.e. BIHAR SOCIETY.
We can't always blame politicians for not doing something, afterall this is our society in which we live in & we need to make it more comfortable for our coming generation.
THANKS,HOPE TO RECEIVE YOUR SUPPORT ............
